Write the ratio  x:y=2:3  as fraction

frac {x}{y}=frac {2}{3} Rightarrow 3x=2y

Now   3x+2y:9y+5y

=frac {3x +2y}{9x+5y}=frac {2y+2y}{3(3x)+5y}

=frac {4y}{3(2y)+5y}=frac {4y}{11y}=frac {4}{11}=4:11
